Under-truss screen enclosures, AKA "lanais," are built under a home's "truss" roof using the home's structural supports– just like a front entryway enclosure.

Once the patio is screened in, like this property in 1591 Cayman Court, Naples, Florida, it serves as a transitional space that keeps bugs and pests out. Additionally, it keeps pets from running away and gives you a place to enjoy the outdoors without worries. (Related: Under Truss Lanai Screen-In For an Insect-Free Outdoor Area in Naples)

Unfortunately, many homes in Florida are built by builders or general contractors who don't have these under-truss lanais. The good news is that you can count on our team at GCA to ensure you have a beautiful screen wall under the truss.

Even though they aren't as big as full-size "pool cage" or "accessory structure screen enclosures" and are limited to the size of the lanai, under-truss screen enclosures are cheaper. It can also be built quickly because they don't require a permit in most locations.

We can cater frame in under truss and remove the old structure if applicable. This project featured a Super Screen type in a beautiful white color. All Super Screen products are resistant to harmful UV light. It keeps your screen's strength and luster while preventing it from fading and breaking down.

To meet HOA rules, our team also ensured to maintain the chair rails. If you do not want any more bugs in your outdoor space, our team at Gulf Coast Aluminum can help. We can ensure that you’ll enjoy your living spaces without having to worry about bugs getting in. Contact us today to learn more!
