This week, we restored and maximized the view of an enclosure of a client in Bonita Springs. After Ms. Schlegel saw our picture window projects on Facebook, she called us to schedule her project. Besides availing our Bronze Picture Window, she also included the Lifetime Restoration Package. So we re-engineered a part of her front wall for a maximum view as well as repainted, rescreened, and replaced the fasteners of her entire pool cage using different materials to lower the cost of the project.

This is what her pool cage looked like before. It has frames obstructing the view and to remove them, we first had to get the permits and prepare engineering and site plans. We’ve done more than a hundred picture window conversion projects that we can get permits faster than anyone else.

Once the permits are approved, we head on-site. Before we get started on the conversion process, we first covered the pool and deck area with a plastic (as seen in the photo above) to prevent getting debris and paint on it. For the construction part, we prefabricate most of the frames in our shop so it was easier to convert it into a picture window

After the picture window conversion, we continued with the restoration process. The photo on the left shows what the fasteners looked like before. We replaced these with 4000hr ceramic-coated steel. Next, we repainted the entire structure with acrylic paint, which is water-based and corrosion-resistant.

Here’s a before and after of a close-up of the paint job. Lastly, we installed new screens using Standard Phifer 18/14 mesh. Our efficient crew completed this project in two weeks. Ms. Schlegel is glad that her pool cage looks new again and that she won’t have to worry about damaged screens, rusty fasteners, or moldy frames for a long time.
