Another pool cage that we restored to look brand new again and re-engineered for the ultimate view is for a client in Punta Gorda. Ms. Elmore wanted to get rid of frames obstructing the view so she hired us to convert her existing pool enclosure into a picture window.

She availed our Gold Clearview Conversion package which includes re-engineering all sides of her pool cage for a maximum view. She also wanted to get her enclosure restored and got our Lifetime Restoration Package, which includes re-screening, replacing the fasteners of the entire enclosure with lifetime warranty stails steel tapcons with finish, and repainting with High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy, which is far better than any factory. We used better materials that come with a longer warranty so our client won’t need an upgrade for a long time.

Before we got started with the picture window conversion, we first needed to prepare the permits and work on the engineering and site plans. We were able to efficiently get this done and quickly obtain the permits.

After settling the requirements, we got to work on-site. We first covered the entire deck area and pool with plastic. This picture window has a span size of 36′ and we were able to convert it into a clear view by utilizing the existing vertical posts, dramatically increasing the structural integrity. We used #16 size fasteners for optimal strength and connection efficiency and utilized solid posts instead of the stitched vertical posts. We also converted the left return wall into a clear view, which can be seen in the photo below.

For the restoration process, we replaced all the fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons, which comes with a 10-year warranty. Next, we repainted the pool cage with white Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane that was sprayed on electrostatically. For the screens, we used Superscreen 14/16. This is a durable mesh that can be installed on large openings and withstand strong wind pressure without tearing.

We completed this project in less than two weeks. Our client is glad that her pool cage looks brand new again and has a great view.
