We recently completed an enclosure restoration and picture window conversion project for a client in Fort Myers. After Ms. Farrell saw our picture window projects online, she wanted to get it done on hers as well since she wanted to get rid of the frames obstructing her view. She also availed our Value Restoration Package, which includes a re-screen, repaint, and fastener replacement using different materials to lower the project cost.

Before we got started on the project, we first had to prepare permits, engineering, and site plans. We’ve done a hundred of picture window conversion projects that we can efficiently get this process done and get permits faster than anyone else.

Once everything was ready, we head on-site. We first covered the pool and deck area with plastic to prevent getting paint or debris on it. We got started by converting their existing screen enclosure wall into a clear view, which was completed efficiently because we mostly prefabricate the frames in our shop. This picture has a span of 40′ with new T6 alloy rect tubes. After, we continued with the restoration process.

Check out what the frames look like before. To make it look new again, here’s what we did. First, we removed the screen so we can replace the fasteners and repaint the entire structure. We replaced the fasteners with 4000hr ceramic-coated steel and then repainted the entire pool cage with Bronze Sherwin Williams DTM Tough Trim. Lastly, we screened it in with Standard Phifer 18/14. All screens are durable when newly installed but this screen model can withstand thunderstorm force winds for 3 years. It will only be easily tearable from a regular storm after 7 years.

Our efficient crew completed this project in less than two weeks. Ms. Farrell is happy that her pool cage looks brand new again and provides an amazing view.
