During this warm weather, it would be nice to hang out in the pool area, especially when you have an enclosure. It keeps the bugs away and prevents leaves from falling into the pool and on the deck. The downside is that there would be frames obstructing the view; but fortunately, we can convert an existing pool cage into a picture window, just like what we did for a client in Bonita Springs.

After Mr. Davis saw our picture window projects on Facebook, he called us to maximize his view as well. Besides our picture window conversion, he also availed our Lifetime Restoration Package, which includes re-screening, replacing the fasteners, and repainting the entire pool cage with better materials that come with a longer warranty.

Before we start with the conversion process, we first had to prepare the permits, engineering, and site plans. We’ve done more than a hundred of pool enclosure projects that our client didn’t have to worry about the details nor wait that long since we can get permits faster than anyone else. After settling everything, we head on-site. The first thing we did was covering the entire pool and deck with plastic to avoid getting any debris or paint drops on it. Since we mostly prefabricate the frames in our shop, it was easier to convert the structure. We re-engineered the front wall into two clearview spans. The photo below shows a double 30’ picture window with new T6 alloy rect tubes.

After completing the picture window conversion, we continued with the restoration process. We replaced all fasteners with Nylotech, a durable model that comes with a 10-year warranty. Next, we made the enclosure look brand new again with Bronze Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane that was sprayed on electrostatically. Lastly, we rescreened the entire pool cage with Superscreen 14/16. This mesh is three times stronger than the standard screen and can withstand strong gusts of wind for a long time.

It took us less than two weeks to complete this project. Check out the new deck and outdoor TV area as well. Our client can now unwind while watching something on the television, or enjoying a nice view, especially since there are no frames blocking it.
