We went to Punta Gorda this week to replace balcony rails.

Mr. and Ms. Schoonmaker hired us to replace the balcony rails of their condominium unit. It wasn’t an easy job because they have acrylic sliders inside, which means that we had to do the work from the scaffolding on the outside.

Before we headed to the site, we first fabricated the rails and metal sections at our shop. The railings are 42 inches tall to meet code compliance. For the mesh, we used Superscreen 14/16, which is a durable and long-lasting screen. It’s better to use a stronger mesh because re-screening would be difficult as it has to always be done outside.

Our client is satisfied with the result. Doesn’t it look better – and safer?
