We recently restored and converted the existing pool cage of a client in a Punta Gorda. Mr. and Ms. Desjarlais wanted to remove the frames obstructing the view, so they called us to re-engineer as well as restore their enclosure. Here is what their old enclosure looked like:

They availed our Lifetime Restoration Package, so we re-screened, repainted using High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy far better than any factory, and replaced the fasteners with lifetime warranty stails steel tapcons with finish. For the picture window, they got our Bronze Clearview Conversion, so we converted a part of the front wall into a picture window. But before we started building on-site, we first had to obtain permits and work on the engineering and site plans. We can efficiently get this process done and get permits faster than anyone else.

After settling the requirements, we started with the picture window conversion process. This picture window has a span size of 28′ and we were able to convert the front wall into a clear view by utilizing the existing vertical posts, dramatically increasing the structural integrity.

Next, we continued with the restoration process. We replaced all old and rusty fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons. For the paint, we used Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane, which was sprayed on electrostatically and meticulously applied to withstand the harsh Florida sun and outdoor elements. Lastly, we re-screened the entire cage with Superscreen. This is three times stronger than can be installed on large openings while withstanding the strong wind pressure without tearing.

Doesn’t it look better without frames blocking the view? It took us less than two weeks to complete this project. Our client can now enjoy their insect-free pool cage with a maximum view.
