Project Scope

Location: Osprey, FL
Repaint: Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane
Rescreen: Superscreen 17/14
New Clear View Doors (Bronze)

Homeowners from Osprey, Florida, never knew their pool could look as good as it could– after they saw the complete pool restoration project spearheaded by our team at Gulf Coast Aluminum.

A brief backstory: They tried countless times in the past to address the fading paint on their pool cage and screened enclosure, but the pool paints weren't providing the longevity they were looking for. If anything, the surface cracked and oxidized quickly in the fierce Florida sun.

Pool Cage and Screened Enclosure Restoration Process

Drainage/debris issues were present along the bottom perimeter, so our crew replaced it (1x2 with 2x2). Our team also installed a 5" Splash Guard, protecting the home when there's too much water in the gutters.

The soffit was painted with High-solids Polyurethane in Bronze for the entire screen enclosure. It gives high-performance protection, excellent exterior gloss, and long-lasting color retention.

One door was moved to another location and replaced with a brand new Clearview door (Bronze). The project included minor changes to the existing landscape, allowing the new entry to function seamlessly.

A Quick and Easy Way to Make the Pool Look New Again!

The aluminum structure was repainted with Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids Polyurethane to make the old enclosure look good as new. Considerably the highlight of this restoration project, the area was rescreened with Super Screen® 17/14 Standard Mesh. The material is popular for pool enclosures and screened-in patios or porches, as it is known for its maximum protection and durability with the clearest view.

Similarly, all fasteners were replaced with Blue-tap Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons. It is designed to offer the ultimate protection from the elements, reducing the risk of over torque and the likelihood of a gully in the aluminum where water can collect.
