Aside from aesthetics, eyesore-looking pool cages with rusty fasteners, damaged screens, faded paint, and discolored frames can affect the structural integrity and longevity of an enclosure. That’s why this week, we restored the pool cage of a client in Cape Coral.

Mr. Rhode wanted to make his pool cage look brand new again, so he called us to get the job done. He availed our Lifetime Restoration Package, which includes re-screening, repainting using High solids Polyurethane 2 part epoxy far better than any factory, and replacing the fasteners with lifetime warranty stainless steel tapcons with finish.

We headed on-site and started with the restoration process. First, we stripped and disposed of the old screen mesh. We upgraded all of the old and rusted fasteners with Blue-tap Nylotech, which comes with a 10-year warranty, and Stainless Pro-Tect Tapcons with a lifetime warranty.

Before we repaint, we first thoroughly cleaned and intricately prepped for a lasting finish and to avoid overspray. We then meticulously applied bronze Sherwin Williams Hi-Solids With Polyurethane, which was sprayed on electrostatically to withstand the harsh Florida sun and other outdoor elements. For the screens, we installed Superscreen 17/14, which also comes with a 10-year warranty. This mesh is three times stronger than the standard screen and can withstand strong wind pressure for a long time. Lastly, we replaced two hurricane cables and installed two new doors with hardware.

It took us one week to get the job done. Our client is glad that his pool cage looks brand new again and that he doesn’t have to look at discolored frames, chipped paint, and rusty frames anymore.
