We recently completed a backyard transformation in Bradenton that turned an open lawn into a shaded, bug-free retreat—perfect for Florida living.

The project began with site prep, including full sod removal to make room for a new foundation. Once the ground was cleared, our crew poured engineered footers and laid a beautiful paver surface using an autumn-toned, Old Towne 2-piece style. The pavers give the space a warm, natural look that fits right into the surrounding landscape.

Atop the paver pad, we built a custom 14' x 40' freestanding screen enclosure. Designed for durability and clean sightlines, the structure features our ClearView configuration with a bronze powder-coated frame. Two full-size screen doors—each 36” by 80”—were installed on the return walls, offering convenient access from either side.

We used 17/20 Super Screen mesh to keep even the smallest bugs out, and every fastener on the job was true stainless steel, with Tapcons designed to last a lifetime. A 7” super gutter system was integrated into the build for clean, reliable drainage during Florida’s rainy season.

As with all our projects, we handled the permitting, engineering, and project management in-house, making sure the process stayed smooth from start to finish.

This Bradenton build is a great example of how a freestanding enclosure can create an entirely new way to enjoy your backyard—without relying on the home’s existing structure.
